8 Teams Represent the GLCA at the 2016 US Arena National Championships

6 team from across the GLCA headed to the 2016 US Arena National Championships March 10-15 in West Chester, Pennsylvania. 3 women’s teams and 3 men’s teams played strong throughout the week and every team had wins to show for it. The Penney Rink from the Cincinnati Curling Club ended the week with an impressive Silver Medal finish. The biggest highlight of the week came when Team Penney defeated the Dallas-Fort Worth team, the reigning champions, in the quarterfinal to move on to the semis. The youngest curler at this year’s national championship was 17-year old skip, Cameron Roehl of the Bowling Green Curling Club. The first-time national, junior curler lead his team to an extraordinary 2-2 record by the end of the week.

The future of curling in the GLCA is looking bright!
